Well, the wellness revolution is in full swing, and we are now witnessing the wellness market becoming a trillion-dollar industry. Your health is the only thing you can invest in, in this current economic climate, that guarantees a return.

Your health is your wealth, and what the pandemic taught us is that it’s best to take control of our health and lives where we can.

We now know that even with the best drugs, doctors and surgeons, we can still get sick, so being proactive and taking health into our own hands is more than a trend. It’s now our lifestyle. We saw this emerging a few years ago when we all invested in understanding gut health and how the mind/gut connection works.

The gut was referred to as the second brain but why weren’t we looking after our actual brain when we understand the importance of the “second one”?

As a person who is passionate about health and wellness, I have always known full well that without a good working nervous system, it doesn’t matter how good your nutrition is, if you can’t assimilate it or use the nutrition, you may as well be peeing it out.

‘Assimilation of nutrition' is one of the chapters in my 8th health book called Connected, a paradigm shift in how we view health. It’s through the workings of the gut and nervous system that we can use our nutrition and that’s where good acts as and is, medicine.

The nervous system is the brain, the spinal cord and the nerves that branch off that. It’s protected by the skull and the bones of the spine. Chiropractors remove nervous system interference through specific and scientific adjustments. This allows clearer communication from the brain to the rest of the body.

In our world there are toxins and toxicity, like stress, chemicals and physical or even environmental stressors that impact on our overall health and specifically the health of our brain.

Lack of sleep and our ‘new norm’ sedentary lifestyle packed with radiation from our tech addicted lives, has meant that we’ve needed a little extra help. Isn’t it great to know that nature provides all we need?

In many cases, nootropics are a natural supplement, and a natural brain booster, that assist the cognitive function and allow better cerebral flow to assist with mopping free radicals from stress and allow better brain function. By increasing blood flow to the brain and oxygen levels, it enhances neuroplasticity or the brain's ability to change connections when needed. This is why you end up with better memory recall and clearer thinking.

This new brain health wave of wellness though, is hardly new. Nootropics have been around for centuries.

The first recorded instance of nootropics can be traced back to the fourth century B.C., where tribes in South America were known to chew coca leaves before battle to increase strength, stamina, and endurance. This practice spread to the Inca empire, where it was ingested for similar reasons.

In 17th century France, people would take colchicine, an alkaloid that can be found in the autumn crocus and is believed to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and was used to treat gout. After a while, it was discovered that taking colchicine also improved memory and cognition.

But not all nootropics are created equal.

Yootropics Brain is ARTG listed and has gone through extensive testing and scientific research. It’s the only supplement that’s stacked with 12 nootropics and was the first ‘whole-brain’ in Australia be listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (AUST-L 378134). This premium natural brain booster, is recognised as the best natural supplement for brain memory, supported by deep clinical research. All the Yootropics range are ARTG listed brain supplements, meaning they all have been issued with AUST-L numbers.

The founders Ted and Nick are committed to continuing to provide a supreme quality nootropic and are paving the way for others as leaders in this wellness industry.

When you think of gut health now, you’ll automatically think of brain health and how to optimise that. After all, the brain is the master controller. It’s through our nervous system that we perceive the world, adapt to stress and coordinate all bodily functions.

Love your brain the way Yootropics does.
